Orlando, FL, United States (4E Sports) – Anthony Bennett, the 2013 overall No. 1 draft pick, scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to fuel a Cleveland Cavaliers rally past the Orlando Magic 110-105 Friday at the Amway Center.
He missed his first five shots while picking up five fouls, but made up by hitting his last six field goal attempts, including two 3-pointers.
Dion Waiters had 21 points, Kyrie Irving finished with 17 points and five assists while Bennett totalled 16 points for the Cavaliers (2-0).
The Magic led by 11 point at the end of the first quarter.
Back-to-back field goals by Kyle O’Quinn midway in the second quarter pushed Magic’s lead to 48-32.
The Magic did not let up on its attacks, pushing the lead further to 18 via back-to-back 3 pointers from E’Twaun Moore.
A third quarter rally allowed the Cavs to steal the lead in the last minute of the third after a three-pointer by C.J. Miles and four points coming from Sergey Karasev.
Victor Oladipo, the second pick in the draft, led Orlando with 18 points, 8 rebounds and three assists.
Nikola Vucevic had 15 points and six rebounds and Aaron Afflalo added 14 points for the Magic (0-2).
