Cincinatti, OH, United States (4E Sports) – BenJarvus Green-Ellis scored the game’s only touchdown as the Cincinatti Bengals dumped the New England Patriots 13-6 at the Paul Brown Stadium.
The Bengals also ended Tom Brady’s streak of 52 consecutive games with a touchdown pass.
Mike Nugent’s 39-yard field goal came after Carlos Dunlap stripped running back LeGarrette Blount of the ball to give the Bengals a 3-0 lead.
Stephen Gostkowski tied the game with a 42 yard field goal in the final minute of the half.
Another Nugent field goal, this time from 50 yards, gave the lead back to the Patriots in the third.
Green-Ellis’ 1-yard plunge in a 14-play, 93-yard march gave the Bengals a 13-3 advantage with less than 10 minutes to play in the fourth quarter.
Brady hit Aaron Dobson for 56 yards and Danny Amendola for another 16 yards as the Pats drove late for a potential tying score.
But Amendola couldn’t roll over into the end zone for the touchdown and the Pats had to settle for Gostkowski’s 19-yard field goal for the final score.
