CLEARFIELD – PennDOT advises drivers that Interstate 80 westbound near the Centre-Clinton county line remains closed due to an accident that occurred earlier today, near mile-marker 168. Traffic is being detoured using Route 64.
PennDOT will open a lane as soon as it is possible to do so and open both lanes as the clean-up situation allows. Motorists are being alerted to the incident and restrictions through the use of the Highway Advisory Radio System and Dynamic Message System signs.
PennDOT expects to have a lane open within the next few hours but a one lane traffic pattern could be in place until daylight.
Motorists can check travel conditions on more than 2,900 miles of roadway online at www.511PA.com or by calling 511 from any telephone.
