Minneapolis, MN, United States (4E Sports) – Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor has confirmed that Rick Adelman will return to coach the team this season.

“Yes, he did [say he's coming back],” Taylor said of Adelman, who brought his coaching staff to his home in Portland, Oregon and laid out plans for this year’s campaign.

Earlier, Taylor was unsure whether Adelman will come back after issues regarding his wife’s health surfaced early last season.

According to Adelman, his wife Mary Kay was suffering from seizures that force him to take a three-week, midseason leave from the team.

Meanwhile, Taylor said the partners are completing a deal on how to pay the $100 million expenses for the remodeling of Target Center.

“We have an agreement with the city, and now they are working with the management team AEG to get an agreement there,” Taylor said.

“We have obligated ourselves to pay for $44 million to fix Target Center. The city will put in $50 million. We have to get $6 million from AEG,” he added.

Taylor added that once AEG agrees to come up with the $6 million and the City Council votes in favor as expected, Taylor will proceed with the plans to remodel a good portion of the Block E complex into a modern practice facility for the Wolves.
