Denver, CO, United States (4E Sports) – Sixty days after his DUI arrest, the Denver Broncos are expected to reinstate director of player personnel Matt Russell from indefinite suspension Monday, according to sources.
The Broncos, who never publicly provided a timeline as to when they would bring back Russell, are satisfied that he has met their requirements though he reportedly will be closely watched.
Aside from Russell, Denver’s director of pro personnel Tom Heckert also had been arrested for DUI.
Russell also was charged with having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle, careless driving resulting in injury and failure to display proof of insurance.
However, the Broncos are convinced that Russell has served his time, and he will be back at their training facility starting Monday.
