London, United Kingdom (4E) – Singe Kylie Minogue is the newest coach of The Voice UK, replacing Jessie J, the Australian singer announced Wednesday.
Minogue wrote on Twitter, “#LOVERS I’m excited to announce that I’ll be coaching on @BBCTheVoiceUK next season!”
The Grammy-winning artist also told the BBC blog, “I’m very excited to become a Coach on The Voice. I love the concept of the show and have been an avid viewer of both series.”
“The search for new talent is such an important aspect of the music industry and The Voice gives us all a part to play in that,” the OBE recipient continued. “Will I be competitive? Probably more than even I imagine! Watch this space!”
Minogue, 45, joins fellow judges Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones. The fourth judge is yet to be announced, as The Script’s Danny O’Donoghue will not be returning.
The Voice season three is set to air on BBC One in January 2014.
