CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Sept. 9.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Jeremie Strohl, 26, of W. Weber Street, DuBois. Strohl is wanted for failure to appear at Plea and Sentencing Court on July 23.
On Nov. 18, 2012, Officer Steve Maholtz of the Sandy Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint and charged Strohl with retail theft.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Nov. 18, 2012, the Sandy Township Police Department received a report about a theft incident at an area business. Upon investigation it was found that while inside the business, Strohl had been concealing items on his person in order to unlawfully remove them. Strohl was apprehended prior to leaving the business, and the merchandise was recovered.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 30, 2012, at which time all charges were held for court. On July 23 Strohl failed to appear for Plea and Sentencing Court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Strohl is described as a Caucasian male who stands 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He has blue eyes and black hair.
