CLEARFIELD – The third annual Clearfield Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K and the Fall Festival will return Oct. 12 to downtown Clearfield. The race and festival are sponsored by the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC).
The festivities will start off with the race through the streets of downtown Clearfield. Participants can register by Sept. 27 to guarantee a race T-shirt. Same-day registration will begin at 7 a.m. and the race will start at the sound of “Old Mooley” at 8:30 a.m. You can visit www.ClearfieldPumpkinRun.com for more information.
After the race, the Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. This admission-free, family-friendly event will be held on Market, Locust and Third streets and features something for everyone.
Festival-goers can enjoy great food while meeting and mingling with more than 100 talented artisans, as they display and sell work ranging from ceramics, fiber, wood, leather and metalwork to jewelry, glass, photography and mixed-media art pieces. Many downtown businesses will also be open to showcase fall sales.
There will live entertainment on the Lezzer Lumber stage, as well as street musicians in front of the Clearfield County Courthouse. Kids will be able to “Chalk-up Clearfield” by designing their own square on the sidewalk. Clearfield Fire and Safety will show off their fire trucks and police cars to kids. There will also be free hay rides leaving from the front of the courthouse and plenty more kids’ games and activities.
In addition, attendees will be able to try out the Pennsylvania DUI Simulator and explore the Daughter of Darkness Vietnam War truck.
