Tuscaloosa, AL, United States (4E Sports) – The Alabama Crimson Tide landed another five-star recruit with a commitment from Cameron Robinson, the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle and No. 3 overall prospect.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder from Monroe, Louisiana chose the Tide over the home-state LSU Tigers after a fierce recruiting battle.

“My key factors (for choosing a school) were most importantly where I feel most comfortable and what school I felt like set me up to be the most successful for the next four years,” said Robinson.

Alabama will continue to battle LSU for Louisiana natives such as safety Laurence Jones of Monroe, who’s No. 27 in the ESPN 300, and running back Leonard Fournette of New Orleans, the nation’s No. 1 player.

Robinson is the sixth offensive line commitment in Alabama’s class, which includes ESPN 300 prospects Ross Pierschbacher, Viane Talamaivao and J.C. Hassenauer.

The Crimson Tide now have 20 commitments for 2014, including 14 in the ESPN 300.
