Edmonton, AB, Canada (4E Sports) – Forward Linus Omark has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Edmonton Oilers after spending last season in the Swiss League.
The Oilers did not disclose financial terms of the deal.
The 26-year-old Omark played last season with Zug of the Swiss League and had a league-high 69 points, including 17 goals, in 48 games.
A fourth-round pick by the Oilers in 2007, Omark spent much of that time on a line with Henrik Zetterberg and Damien Brunner of the Detroit Red Wings, who played with Zug during the NHL lockout.
He also played 65 games with the Oilers over parts of the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons, scoring eight goals and adding 22 assists for 30 points.
