Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Madonna’s latest album MDNA may not have raked in raves from fans lately, but the Queen of Pop has certainly gathered in more than enough millions making her this year’s top-earning celebrity.
In the list compiled by Forbes published Monday, Madonna has reportedly earned $125 million between June 2012 and June 2013, thanks to her successful tour and many ventures that suit the taste of consumers.
Notwithstanding taxes, fees and other expenses, the 55-year-old “Material Girl” singer was able to make such huge amount of money from her MDNA tour, along with merchandise sales, a clothing line, fragrance and investments in companies.
Filmmaker Steven Spielberg follows suit with $100 million, “X Factor” judge Simon Cowell, “Fifty Shades” author E. L. James and “America’s Got Talent” judge Howard Stern each earned $95 million.
Author James Patterson comes next with $91 million, conservative commentator Glenn Beck with $90 million, followed by “Transformers” director Michael bay with $82 million. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer and pop star Lady Gaga complete the top ten with $80 million earnings each.
Meanwhile, in 2009, Madge was included in the Celebrity 100 list for earning $110 million.
