Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Today anchor Jenna Wolfe and partner NBC news correspondent Stephanie Gosk have welcomed their first child together on Wednesday, and have shared the baby’s first photos on Twitter shortly after.
Their child, a daughter, is named Harper Estelle Wolfeld Gosk, who weighed 7 lbs. and 13 oz. upon birth. According to Wolfe, whose legal name is Wolfeld, Estelle is her grandmother’s name.
The new mom further explained, “No matter what, we were always going to have Estelle and we fell in love with the Harper. It’s the perfect combination of athleticism, gentleness, kindness, beauty and a little TV moxie, so we figured it was perfect.”
Gosk, on the other hand wasted no time introducing Estelle to the world when she posted an adorable photo of Wolfe and the baby captioned, “First pic. We couldn’t be happier. Thanks for all the great messages.”
Menwhile, before giving birth, Wolfe took to her blog to express her views on her newest feat in life. She wrote, “My life’s going to change this week,” she added. “A new word will be added to my bio: ‘mom.’ It’s a little word with huge responsibilities. Easy to spell, hard to live up to. It’s a word you have to earn. I’ve said it millions and millions and millions of times growing up, but only now will I truly understand its value.”
Last March, Wolfe, 39, publicly came out as lesbian and announced that she was expecting a child with Gosk, 41.
