Milwaukee, WI, United States (4E Sports) – Center Larry Sanders has signed a four-year contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks Tuesday.
The Bucks did not reveal financial terms of the contract but multiple media reports said the deal is worth $44 million.
The 24-year-old Sanders had a breakthrough 2012-13 season, averaging 9.8 points and 9.5 rebounds in 71 games.
A 15th overall pick by the Bucks out of Virginia Commonwealth in 2010, Sanders was also the NBA’s second-best blocker, with an average of 2.8 swats per game.
In three seasons with the Bucks, Sanders has averaged 6.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks.
The 6-11 Sanders will be an important player next season for the rebuilding Bucks, who lost leading scorers Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings this offseason.
