Chiefs’ Schedule for Weekend Tourney Is Altered

CLEARFIELD — Opponent and field changes for the Clearfield American Legion Post 6 baseball team’s Pennsylvania Open Wood Bat Tournament 19-and-Under Division schedule were received by coach Sid Lansberry Thursday morning.

The Chiefs will open against Berkshire instead of Hatfield Friday, and the 12:30 p.m. game has been shifted from the Bellefonte Area High School Field to the Shaner Lower Field.

They still will play Mt. Airy (Md.) in their finale Saturday, but that game now will start at 3 p.m. at the Philipsburg-Osceola Area High School’s Don Womer Complex.

Clearfield’s other two games, both at the Shaner Upper Field, remain unchanged, Friday against Souderton at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday against Corning (N.Y.) Red at 10 a.m.

Fans planning to attend the tourney hosted by the Bellefonte Bandits are reminded there will be a $5 parking fee at the Shaner fields.
