Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – Singer Joe Jonas is the latest subject of a trend where individuals make YouTube videos to invite their favorite celebrity to an event.
Jonas, was invited by a college girl named Shaina Kohli to her college formal, which he politely declined, but instead made a rather lovely counteroffer.
Posted earlier this April, the description of Kohli’s three-and-a-half-minute long video reads, “I’m a Senior at Pepperdine University and have one last formal dance left in my college career, which is on April 13th, 2013. Why not ask Joe Jonas to it? #Bucketlist”
The video opens with the preppy college girl asking Jonas to the formal and then proceeds to ask several people why they think the singer should go with her to the event.
On Thursday, Joe Jonas responded with a two-minute hilarious video of his own, saying that, unfortunately, he will not be able to be there, and then proceeds to make a proposal to Kohli.
A suave Jonas said, “I have a proposition for you. On July 10 in Chicago, Illinois, I would like to fly you out, escort you to my concert of the opening tour. What do you think? I know. It’s gonna be great.”
“I want you front row or on the stage—your choice. We’re going to have an amazing time together.” He adds, “Please accept my invite as my special guest.”
Meanwhile, Jonas further surprised Shaina by appearing incognito at the Today Show on Thursday morning where she was to be interviewed regarding her video invitation.
