Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E Sports) – Chris Paul recorded 20 points and 8 assists as the Los Angeles Clippers dominated the undermanned New York Knicks 93-80 Sunday at Staples Center.
The Clippers notched their fourth win in seven games this March behind a masterful play from their All-Star point guard.
With all their starters back in top form, the Clippers leaned on their run-and-gun game right away as they outscored the short-handed Knicks in all four quarters.
The Knicks played without All-Stars Tyson Chandler (strained neck) and Carmelo Anthony (knee), who are both nursing injuries.
The Clips shot 45.3 percent from the field and smothered the Knicks to just 35.8 percent shooting on the floor.
Blake Griffin chipped in with 12 points and 12 rebounds and Caron Butler tallied 14 markers for the Clips, who improved their slate to 46-21.
The Knicks (38-26) got a lift from JR Smith (17 points) and Raymond Felton (16 points), but their firepower wasn’t enough to outslug the Clips.
