Phoenix, AZ, United States (4E Sports) – The Arizona Cardinals has released quarterback Kevin Kolb Friday, leaving them with a gaping hole behind center.

Kolb, who arrived in Arizona after being traded from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, pocketed $20.5 million in despite playing subpar for the Cardinals.

Kolb completed 255 of 436 passes with 17 TDs and 11 interceptions while having a passing rating of 83.2 in 15 games over two seasons.

The quarterback also suffered several injuries last season – including a concussion against the Buffalo Bills in October.

The Cardinals, who still have John Skelton and Ryan Lindely under contract, will likely pick a quarterback in this year’s draft.
