New York, NY, United States (4E Sports) – James Southerland scored 20 points and CJ Fair added 16 as the Syracuse Orange advanced to the next round of the Big East Tournament with a 75-63 win over Seton Hall Pirates Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.

Syracuse punched their way to the quarterfinal round behind big performances from two of their best offensive weapons.

Fair shot 6-for-10 from the field and Sutherland went 7-for-11, including six triples to spark a 41-point explosion in the second half.

The Orange, who headed to the locker room with the score locked at 34-34 at halftime, also did a masterful job on the defensive end as they smothered the Pirates to just 29 points in the final 20 minutes of play.
