DuBois Woman Leads State Police on Vehicle Pursuit

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP – A 49-year-old DuBois woman, Virginia Matthew, has been accused of leading the DuBois-based state police on a vehicle pursuit Monday in Washington Township.
According to the report, state police initiated a traffic stop because of a prior incident. Matthew did not stop and a pursuit ensued. She continued traveling on state Route 830 and onto SR 219 into DuBois City.
State police said their pursuit ended on Quality Way, and Matthew was taken into custody. During the course of the pursuit, state police said Matthew committed several traffic and crime code violations.
Charges were filed through the district court.
