Miami tops Clemson, secures first ACC regular-season title

Miami, FL, United States (4E Sports) – Kenny Kadji recorded 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Miami Hurricanes cruised to their first outright ACC title with a 62-49 win over the Clemson Tigers Saturday at BankUnited Center.
After losing to Duke and Georgia Tech, the Hurricanes finally got the job done on their third attempt as Kadji provided them enough offensive firepower to take their first ever regular-season championship in ACC.
Coming out of the break with the scored locked at 25-25, the Hurricanes used solid defensive effort on the Tigers to ignite a pivotal 13-3 run in the first nine minutes of the second half.
From there, Miami held the lead and went on to seal the deal on its home floor.
Devin Booker scored 11 points while Jordan Roper tallied 12 for Clemson, which finished their regular-season at 13-17.
For Miami, the road to the national title has just begun. The Hurricanes have already set their sights on the ACC tournament title.
