The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library celebrated “Read Across America” day with its program Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss on March 2. More than 20 children and their families listened to several popular Dr. Seuss stories.

In addition to music, games and several activities, the children sang “Happy Birthday” to Dr. Seuss while enjoying birthday cupcakes.

Pictured are Madelyn and Lily Stockwell, who model their Cat in the Hat craft made during the program.
