Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) – “Girls Next Door” star Holly Madison has expressed late Wednesday that after giving birth, she plans to turn her placenta into pills and take them shortly after.

The former Playboy model wrote on her blog, “This might sound gross, but I’m totally planning on having my placenta turned into pills I can take after giving birth.”

She added, “I heard it helps women recover faster and I want to recover as quickly as I can!” The 33-year-old mom-to-be is expecting her first child with boyfriend Pasquale Rotella.

The placenta-to-pills process is getting famous among Hollywood celebrities recently. “Mad Men” star January Jones has expressed her plans of consuming placenta pills after giving birth to her son, Xander, in 2011.

The placenta-to-pills process is how a woman’s placenta is cleaned, cooked and then processed and gathered to make capsule-like pills, which is believed to make a new mom nourish her body and cope with postpartum depression.
