Police kill armed man at Oregon hospital

Portland, OR, United States (4E) – Police fatally shot an armed man in the parking lot of a hospital in Portland, Oregon Sunday and an investigation on the case is ongoing.
According to police spokesman, Sergeant Pete Simpson, the shooting started around 9:30 p.m. after officers received a report of a man with a gun on the grounds of Portland Adventist Medical Center.
Police said the hospital and its campus declared a lockdown while authorities searched the area.
Simpson revealed that several officers then encountered the man and gunshots erupted, the suspect died on scene and no officers were injured.
A hospital spokesperson said no staff or patients from the hospital were hurt.
