Drunken 10-year-old found wandering naked in Florida

Tampa, FL, United States (4E) – A 10-year-old boy has been found wandering the street naked and drunk in Hernando County, Florida last weekend and his caregiver was arrested for child neglect.

According to the arrest report, a woman informed police after seeing the boy naked Friday and when she walked to the child’s home, she saw the boy’s caregiver, 41-year-old Nedra Byrd, sleeping on the couch.

The report stated that responding deputies noted that Byrd was lethargic and appeared intoxicated, before she passed out, after talking to them.

It was reported that the boy told investigators he had been drinking brandy and was given four shots, and he claimed he went outside because he thought a friend was there.

KY Post reported the boy was brought to hospital and blood results showed he had a blood alcohol level of .108.

Byrd has been charged with child neglect.
