Houston, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Los Angeles Clippers All-Stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin have openly addressed the rumors about a possible deadline trade that would help them land Kevin Garnett from the Boston Celtics.

The Clippers are one of the elite teams in the Western Conference and even viewed as a title contender, but Paul and Griffin also like the idea of bringing in a solid addition to further improve their team.

“I think people are just talking,” Paul said. “At the end of the day, who wouldn’t want to have Kevin Garnett on their team? I talk about that guy all day, every day, his intensity to the game and how he plays the game.”

Griffin also expressed his interest of teaming up with the all-time great power forward, adding that his intensity remains incredible at this point of his career.

“I love the way he competes as a player,” Griffin said. “He’s a very, very serious competitor. His level of professionalism is off the charts. Every game, I’ve heard he’s the most intense guy to be around. That’s tough to do to play as many games as he’s played and still have that level of intensity.”

Nevertheless, Paul believes the current makeup of the Clippers have the capability to contend for a title. Billups has just returned from an ACL injury and produced well in his first games this season.

Their bench proved to be one of the deepest with Matt Barnes, Lamar Odom, Eric Bledsoe, Grant Hill and Jamal Crawford contributing key numbers consistently.
