Houston, TX, United States (4E Sports) – Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra has selected Chris Bosh to replace Rajon Rondo as starter for the East in Sunday’s All-Star Game.

He announced his decision on the team’s website Friday.

Bosh will start alongside Heat teammates Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, along with Knicks star Carmelo Anthony and Celtics’ Kevin Garnett.

There was speculation that Spoelstra may get another guard to replace Rondo, with Cavs’ young star Kyrie Irving being the best alternative.

But Spoelstra, as he hinted two weeks ago, remained loyal to the Heat in his decisions as an All-Star coach.
