Police Report: DuBois City

  • Emporium Borough police were assisted with serving a search warrant Tuesday in the 500 block of Wood Street. Charges are pending the completion of the investigation.
  • A two-vehicle accident occurred Tuesday on Liberty Boulevard. The operator of a 2005 Saturn was making a left-hand turn into the parking lot across oncoming traffic. The operator pulled in front of a 1997 Nissan that was traveling southbound on Liberty Boulevard.  Neither operator was able to stop, and the two vehicles collided as a result. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.
  • Someone burglarized a business Wednesday in the 300 block of South Brady Street. Electronics and other items were taken from inside the business. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
  • On Wenesday, an elderly woman contacted police, while she believed  someone was attempting to scam her. Someone contacted her by telephone and claimed to be her grandson. The man wanted her to send bail money, as he claimed to have been arrested. The call was found to be a scam.
