State Police Probing Theft Incident

KARTHAUS – The Clearfield-based state police are investigating a theft incident at a River Hill Coal Co. job site that occurred sometime Wednesday or Thursday off Pottersdale Road in Karthaus Township.
According to the police report, someone stole approximately 1,500 pounds of steel plate. Its estimated value was unknown to police. In addition, someone stole nine 5230 CAT Excavator spacer plates that are valued at $800 each for a total estimated value of $7,200.
