Cleveland, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Kyrie Irving scored 22 points and Dion Waiters added 19 as the Cleveland Cavaliers blew by the Charlotte Bobcats, 122-95, Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena.
The Cavs captured their second consecutive win and more importantly improved their record to 15-34, thanks to another terrific effort from their backcourt.
Fresh from stunning the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Cavs jumped on a hot start as they chalked up 32 points in the first quarter alone. With Irving and Waiters leading the way, the Cavs sustained their momentum and finished the first half of play with 65-41 lead at the break.
The Cavs continued their hot shooting in the third, topping their previous scoring output in the first two quarter with 35 third quarter points. Despite better field goal shooting from the Bobcats, the Cavs went on to hammer out a 27 point victory.
Byron Mullens had 15 points and Ramon Sessions recorded 14 off the bench for the Bobcats, who dropped their fourth straight game and fell to 11-37.
