Ex-Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner joins Council on Foreign Relations

Washington, DC, United States (4E) – The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) on Wednesday announced that former treasury secretary Timothy Geithner would join the think tank later this month.

Geithner, who was 75th U.S. treasury secretary, was holding a senior position at CFR more than a decade ago.

He will work from the organization’s headquarters in New York.

“Both at Treasury and at the New York Federal Reserve, Tim was a tireless, creative, and responsible custodian of the public trust. His coming to CFR only strengthens our capacity to produce thoughtful analysis of issues at the intersection of economic, political, and strategic developments,” said CFR President Richard Haass.
