Police Report: Sandy Township

- A Clear Run Road resident reported that while she was out of the house on Monday, someone broke in through an unlocked window and ransacked the home. Nothing appeared to be missing, however. Officers followed footprints and all-terrain vehicle tracks to the residence of a 16-year-old who when questioned admitted to entering the house. The boy was taken into custody and turned over to probation to be incarcerated.
- On Monday, a Circle Road woman reported that she had been away from her home for a couple of months. When she returned, she found a window had been broken out.
- A DuBois man reported that while his vehicle was parked at the Sandy Plaza on Friday, someone hit it and caused minor damage.
- On Tuesday, a Merris Avenue resident reported someone hit and damaged her mailbox.
