Muskegon County, MI, United States (4E) – A 34-year-old doctor from Illinois accused of secretly filming college male wrestlers in a locker room in Muskegon County, Michigan was arrested Tuesday and investigators are checking for other possible victims.
Court documents stated Ninos Jando, a podiatrist, was arraigned Wednesday on three counts of capturing or distributing an image of an unclothed person and there were three male victims named.
Reports stated that a student noticed a lens in Jando’s toiletry bag which was hanging in a locker room’s shower area at Muskegon Community College. A janitor and several coaches managed to restrain the suspect until police arrived.
Authorities revealed Jando’s crime in the Michigan locker room was not an isolated case because there were dozens of videos of naked young men that were reportedly shot in different locker rooms for over almost a dozen years.
After the arrest, police discovered six toiletry bags, eight cameras, three cell phones, a computer hard drive, a laptop computer and membership cards with different names that gave Jando access to multiple health clubs.
Investigators claimed a GPS unit found inside the car might provide clues about the case.
NBC News reported that Jando has been arrested and accused of similar crimes in the Chicago area in 2009 and police uncovered 21 videos spanning six years that time.
Jando is being held on $200,000 bond.
