Ypsilanti, MI, United States (NewsBahn) – Northern Illinois broke its own NCAA Division I record, netting an abysmal four points in a half in its eventual 42-25 loss to Eastern Michigan Saturday.

Northern Illinois had just 13 points heading into the final four minutes, but “heated up” with 12 points in that final span.

The Huskies’ also posted a record low 3.2 percent field goal percentage in the first half and missed 32 of their 33 three-point field goal attempts.

Only Daveon Balls, who led the Huskies with 7 points, was successful, hitting a trey on the team’s final attempt.

Northern Illinois set the previous low earlier in the season with just five points in the opening half vs. Dayton.

St. Louis has the record low for points in a game with 20, which it set in 2008.
