San Francisco, CA, United States (4E Sports) – Charges will not be filed against 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree for sexual assault.

He was under investigation after being accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a San Francisco hotel room in the early hours of Jan. 13, after the team’s victory over the Green Bay Packers in a playoff game.

Three women, including the one who lodged the complaint, joined Crabtree in a room at the hotel.

The other two women said Crabtree did not assault anyone, and police failed to find physical evidence of an attack.

“The San Francisco Police Department special victims unit completed and submitted a thorough investigation of the allegations against Michael Crabtree,” said District Attorney George Gascón.

“Following a review of all the evidence, my office has determined that no charges will be filed against Michael Crabtree at this time.”

The Niners will face the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday in the Super Bowl.
