Murder suspect escapes from New York police station

Brooklyn, NY, United States (4E) – Police are searching for a 24-year-old murder suspect who escaped from a police station in Brooklyn, New York Thursday morning after a struggle with a police officer.

According to authorities, Brandon Santana fled from the 78th precinct in Park Slope around 2 a.m. after being arrested for killing 22-year-old Alexander Santiago on August 1, 2010.

The New York Post reported that one officer was injured and treated at a hospital after the scuffle with the suspect.

Santana is Hispanic, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown hooded jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.
