Jose Calderon drops 22 points, Raps extend Lakers road skid to five

Toronto, ON, Canada (4E Sports) – Toronto Raptors sent the Los Angeles Lakers to their fifth straight road loss, 108-103, Sunday.

Jose Calderon had 22 points and nine assists, Landry Fields added 18 points and 10 rebounds and Ed Davis contributed 18 points and eight rebounds as the Raptors ended a four-game losing streak against the Lakers.

The Lakers started slow, missing 12 of their first 15 shots and were down 19-4 with 5:50 left in the first.

Dwight Howard was then ejected after drawing his second technical foul with 1:18 left in the first half.

The Raptors got 10 points from Fields and six each from Calderon and Davis in the third to take an 83-70 edge into the fourth. Consecutive 3-pointers by Kyle Lowry and layups by Terrence Ross and Anderson gave Toronto a 95-76 lead with 7:29 left.

The Lakers cut the lead to 97-87 with 5:22 remaining, but only got as close as 103-97 with 1:35 left.

Kobe Bryant made 10 of 32 shots, including 3 of 12 on 3-pointers, to score 26 points. Pau Gasol had 25 points, Steve Nash scored 16 points and Earl Clark had 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Lakers, whose road skid is their longest in six years.
