Columbus, OH, United States (4E Sports) – Deshaun Thomas scored 20 points while Aaron Craft and Sam Thompson chipped in with nine apiece as the Ohio State Buckeyes ended Michigan Wolverines’ unbeaten run with a nail-biting 56-53 win Sunday at Value City Arena.

Thomas unleashed his big guns in their first Big Ten match with the surging Wolverines, going 8-for-18 from the field and 3-for-7 from the three-point line.

The Buckeyes (13-3, 3-1) came out strong from the start, leading the Wolverines 24-6 through the first 10 minutes before heading to the locker room with a 34-22 cushion at the break.

However, the Wolverines steadily clawed back as the lethal combo of Tim Hardaway Jr. and Glenn Robinson III started to find their groove.

Robinson knocked down a three to tie the score at 46-46 but the Buckeyes closed it out on 10-7 run to finally put the end to Wolverines (16-1, 3-1 Big Ten) unbeaten run this season.

Trey Burke scored a team-high 15 points, Tim Hardaway Jr had 12 and Glenn Robinson recorded 8 points for the Wolverines.

With Michigan’s fall, all top-ranked college basketball teams have now absorbed a loss this season.
