Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E Sports) – Aaron Afflalo scored 30 points and JJ Reddick added 21 as the Orlando Magic snapped the Los Angeles Clippers’ 13-game home-winning streak with a 104-101 victory Saturday at Staples Center.
Afflalo came out with all gun blazing, shooting 10-for-19 from the field and 3-for-3 from the three-point line to pace the Magic’s offense.
The Magic were overmatched by the Clippers high-powered offense through the first three quarters but pulled off a monster effort on both ends of the floor in the fourth.
Trailing 83-75 at the end of the third quarter, the Magic delivered 29 points while smothered the Clips to just 18 points in the final quarter.
Afflalo and Reddick combined for 18 points in the Magic’s huge fourth quarter run while center Nikola Vucevic racked up a double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds.
Blake Griffin recorded 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 dimes while Chris Paul chipped in with 10 points and 16 assists for the Clips, who remains one of the West’s elites at 28-9.
Meanwhile, the Magic finally ended their 10-game losing skid and improved to 13-23.
