Police Report: Sandy Township

• A 91-year-old DuBois woman was paying for work done on her car when someone got into the car and took it on Wednesday from the Murrays parking lot.  The investigation is ongoing at this time.
• On Wednesday, a 27-year-old Sykesville man reported that he was being harassed by a known 25-year-old DuBois man.  Officers handled the situation without incident.
• On Wednesday, a 23-year-old Brady Street woman reported that she found a window open at her residence.  She did not find anything to be missing.
• A Kiwanis Trail woman reported a neighbor burning in his yard, causing heavy smoke in the area on Thursday.  The situation was handled by the fire department.
• A DuBois woman reported seeing a man run across Brady Street on Thursday. He was allegedly carrying a gun.  Upon investigation officers located the 38-year-old man and found the gun to be a BB gun used to kill a rat.
• A false alarm occurred Thursday at Sears.
