Garage Destroyed by Fire in Ridgway

RIDGWAY – A garage was destroyed after a fire ignited at 4:54 a.m. Wednesday at 23 Fairmont Rd. in Ridgway Township, reported the Ridgway-based state police.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the Ridgway Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire destroyed a wooden-framed, 12-foot by 20-foot garage that was owned by Timothy Dickant of Ridgway.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time. There aren’t any suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire, state police said. Damage is estimated at more than $20,000. There weren’t any injuries as a result of the fire.
