CLEARFIELD – Joseph B. Bower Jr., president and chief executive officer of CNB Bank and Todd M. Abrams, senior vice president and managing director of the CNB Wealth & Asset Management Division, announced that Glenn Pentz was recently promoted to vice president/wealth & asset management. He also successfully completed his Certified Investment Management AnalystSM (CIMA) certification.

The CIMA certification, delivered by Investment Management Consultants Association® (IMCA), is the only credential designed specifically for investment advisors and consultants.  This certification identifies individuals who have met extensive experience and ethical requirements and successfully completed advanced investment management consulting coursework provided through the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.  CIMA professionals must pass a rigorous examination covering a wide range of in-depth investment topics.  Additionally, those who earn the certification must agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements, and adhere to IMCAs Code of Professional Responsibility, and Standards of Practice.

The CIMA certification has been known for many years as the most prestigious credential for financial professionals seeking the highest level of expertise as an advanced investment consultant.

Abrams said, “It’s a pleasure to congratulate Glenn on this great achievement.  His success benefits everyone – most importantly, our clients.”

Pentz is responsible for the oversight of client investment portfolios.  He periodically makes changes to asset allocations, sector weightings and security holdings.  He participates with Financial Advisors in both the development of new business and also the periodic reviews of established client relationships.

Pentz assists CNB Bank’s Investment Committee in the development of portfolio models designed to enable client’s to meet their long-term financial goals by investing assets in a diversified, prudent manner.  He works to keep informed of market and economic trends and makes recommendations of stocks, mutual funds and ETF’s suitable for purchase.

“As CNB continues to grow, it has become increasingly important to have a knowledgeable and experienced individual dedicated to this segment of the bank’s portfolio,” said Bower. “We have been very pleased with Glenn’s performance and are confident in his ability to continue to manage the investment needs for our clients and will apply his extensive knowledge in the area of wealth and asset management.”

Pentz joined CNB’s Wealth & Asset Management Services Division in 2001 from Parker Hunter, where he held an Investment Executive position.  Prior to working with Parker Hunter, Pentz pursued a career in banking as Managing Officer and Secretary of Peoples Savings Bank in Ridgway.
