Obituary Notice: Alyce R. Powell

Alyce R. Powell, 58, of West Decatur died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 at her home.

She was the daughter of Ronald L. Powell of Philipsburg and the late Leah N. (Rodkey) Powell, born Dec. 27, 1954 in Niagra Falls, NY.

She is survived at home by the love of her life, her companion, Walter P. Conklin Jr.

Ms. Powell was of the Christian faith. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her father and her companion, she is survived by a daughter, Carrie A. Buskist and her husband, Erik of Hamburg, NY; a step-daughter, Hazel A. Gray and her husband, Robert of Wallaceton; a son Michael Ramos of Ocala, FL; a sister, Rosalyn R. Hewitt and her husband, Melvin of McKnightstown; a brother, David B. Powell of Philipsburg; a granddaughter, Charlene L. Ballard; a step-granddaughter, Haley L. Gray; and a nephew, Anthony Hewitt.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
