U.S. reelects John Boehner as House Speaker

Washington, DC, United States (4E) – The U.S. Congress Thursday re-elected Republican lawmaker John Boehner as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The vote for the House leadership was held during the first session of the 113th Congress.
Unlike the previous term, Boehner, a Representative from Ohio state, faced opposition within his Republican party as some voiced disapproval over his speakership bid.
In 2011. Republicans had unanimously voted him for the post.
