Framingham, MA, United States (4E) – Five Newton police officers will face disciplinary actions for reportedly starting a prank that involved egging the home of a police sergeant in Framingham, Massachusetts last month.

In a statement, Newton Interim Police Chief Howard Mintz said the five off-duty officers who egged the superior officer’s house on December 11 violated the department’s conduct standards and will face discipline.

Minz added that the department has started an internal investigation after learning about the incident.

The details of the discipline or the names of the officers implicated were not revealed.

“Actions by anyone from this department, which is contrary to our rules and regulations will not be tolerated and dealt with swiftly,” said Mintz.

There were no charges filed.
