Two died in Maryland house fire, firefighter among injured

Baltimore, MD, United States (4E) – Two people were killed after flames engulfed a home in Baltimore, Maryland Wednesday evening, and six people were injured, including a firefighter.

Fire officials said the blaze started around 11:30 p.m. in the neighborhood of Montebello Terrace where seven people resides, among them a pregnant woman.

Chief Kevin Cartwright revealed responding firefighters who worked to extinguish the flames found the unidentified victims dead inside the home.

Reports stated five people managed to get out with non-life threatening injuries. Three of them were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

One or two dogs are believed to have perished in the blaze, and one firefighter hurt his shoulder, Cartwright added.

The incident is being investigated.
