Skeletal remains of missing woman recovered in North Carolina woods

Greensboro, NC, United States (4E) – The skeletal remains of a 57-year-old woman who disappeared in May were discovered Monday in a wooded area in Guilford County, North Carolina.

According to authorities, Nancy Twyman Jenkins’ remains were found near Turner Smith Road around 10:30 a.m.

Sheriff BJ Barnes said Jenkins was reported missing on May 31, 2012 by her family.

The cause of death will be determined after a complete autopsy and police are still investigating the case.
