Man Jailed for Recklessly Endangering Incident in Fox Township

FOX TOWNSHIP – A 39-year-old Kersey man, Brian Gerald Richards, was jailed after a reckless endangering incident at 4:14 a.m. Sunday in Fox Township, reported the Ridgway-based state police.

Richards and Carolyn Elizabeth Meiser, 38, of Kersey allegedly engaged in a verbal dispute, which turned physical. Meiser allegedly struck Richards in the face at which point he pushed her out of the garage, where they had both been consuming alcohol.

Meiser allegedly broke out a garage door window and tried to gain entry into the residence. Then, Richards fired four shots from a 9mm handgun near Meiser’s head.

Richards was taken into custody for recklessly endangering another person and harassment. He was arraigned and lodged in the Elk County Jail in lieu of $3,000 straight bail. Meiser was cited for summary harassment.
