Two teens killed, two others injured in North Carolina wreck

Hillsborough, NC, United States (4E) – Two 16-year-olds died and another two teens were seriously wounded after their vehicle crashed into a tree Saturday night in Orange County, North Carolina.

Authorities said William Daniel Chase Underhill and Kacie Leann Chamberlain were pronounced dead at the scene after Underhill lost control of the pickup he was driving at 10:30 p.m. on Little River Church Road.

According to police, the vehicle hit a tree, killing the two teens and seriously injuring two other passengers, identified as 15-year-old McCray Williams and 16-year-old Sam Whaley.

Both teens were taken to Duke University Hospital where they are now recovering.

Investigators divulged speeding has influenced the accident and nobody was wearing a seat belt.

The teens were reportedly all in the front seats.

Investigation on the case is ongoing.
