Police Report: Philipsburg PSP
- No injuries were reported following a hit-and-run accident at 9:40 p.m. Saturday on Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg Borough. A vehicle was traveling south on North Front Street, while another driven by Christen L. Rodgers, 31, of Philipsburg was sitting on West Presqueisle Street and waiting for a green light at the intersection. As the vehicle passed, it slid on the snow-covered roadway and struck that driven by Rodgers. After impact the vehicle continued traveling southbound on Front Street and turned left onto Maple Street. State police believe the suspect vehicle is a pick-up truck.
- An incident of criminal trespass occurred sometime between Dec. 10 and Friday at a Miller Road residence in Rush Township. Someone gained entry to an uninhabited residence by breaking a window out of the front door. Once inside they built a small fire in the basement in an apparent attempt to keep warm. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Philipsburg-based state police at 814-342-3370.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Dec. 24 on Heritage Lane in Worth Township. Someone damaged several Christmas decorations and a light pole that belonged to a 49-year-old Port Matilda woman. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Philipsburg-based state police at 814-342-3370.
- An incident of harassment occurred at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 23 on Sharpless Street in Rush Township. A brother and sister engaged in a verbal argument that turned into a physical altercation. The victim left the scene and her husband then engaged in the physical confrontation. Minor injuries were reported. Charges are to be filed through the district court.
