Police Report: Philipsburg PSP

  • An incident of DUI occurred at 2:16 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Ninth Street and U.S. Route 322 in Philipsburg Borough. State police stopped a 38-year-old Philipsburg man for a traffic violation. After speaking with him, state police detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. He was taken into custody for suspected DUI. Charges are currently pending blood test results.
  • No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident that occurred at 6:50 p.m. Friday on School Street in Philipsburg Borough. Jerome M. Craven, 61, of Philipsburg was traveling eastbound when he crossed into the west lane, striking a vehicle operated by Mark. A. Nartatez, 51, of Philipsburg. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
  • An incident of theft occurred Saturday on South Front Street in Philipsburg Borough when someone stole a 20-year-old Houtzdale woman’s cellular phone.
